I'm Back!

I'm finally back!! I know it took me forever, but the last months of college were just way to hectic. so on that note, I am now an offical college graduate with a Bachelors of Fine Arts. and now I have time for blogging again : )
Photos: (1) dad & myself at graduation (2) I think this is a yam or a weird potato but I love the shot (3) this is a thrift store in Freemont and I love the sign.

Lately:
Watching: How I met your mother, I got season 1-5 for xmas I'm stoked, I love that show its great, its this generations 'friends' and we all know how much I love 'friends'

Music: I've been really into pandora lately, and because of that I've found some really great concerto bands/music, but its really modern (it comes on, on my john mayer radio) there are no words, but I love that kind of music especially when I'm working because words/lyrics can distract me, especially if i'm writing.
Eating: I started weight watchers with my Uncle, I sat in on a meeting at first (because I thought I would hate it, but I loved it) but then I had graduation and stuff coming up so I put it on hold for 2 weeks, So I only JUST started, but I do love it, everyone says its the most effective, I'm learning alot I think it will be fun. I'll think include a WW new tip in my new blogs, somethign I learned. today I learned I can eat Bacon =D (and its not expensive points wise, you can eat whatever you want, but it will cost you in points.)
New Stuff:

I moved home to my parents about a month ago now, my lease was up on my apartment a month before graduation and who knows where i'll end up working, this way instead of getting another lease in Seattle or Tacoma I can work wherever and move 5 minutes away from my work if I wanted

My cousin Jonathan visited for 6 weeks from Scotland, I might have mentioned that I know I stopped blogging around the time he visited, and so he has now gone home at some time late october

My dad's cousin Todd (Jojo's cousin as well) is visiting from California through the new year

I got a real awesome present from my Uncle Brian (jojos husband) - A Nikon D5000 with the works, zoom lense, camera bag, heck I don't even know what the rest of the stuff is yet, I got to learn a lot when my cousin was here because he 's a photographer, but were gonna start doing photo shoots so I can learn more about my camera, but I love it. be prepared for blog photos!

hmm what else? I'm sure tons has happened but thats the skinny for now, this is just my update blog so I'll add more later. but I'm back now!

  2. Yay! You're back! I hope you keep it going. I'm going to be changing my photo and look again soon i hope for the new year. I need Brian to take a new blurry photo of me for it though.

I love that photo of you and your dad. i took that one i think. You should put up some of the photos that you took of the family that were so good where you set the timer on your new camera.

I'm home watching Pillars of the Earth. On the third episode now. LOVE it. Read the book a month or so ago. I won't be taking down my Christmas tree just yet because it is so incredibly fresh as the day Brian cut it down. But when we do, do you want to come over and help? hint hint. I think we'll put it out on our patio with the lights on until it finally dies. I hate throwing out a living thing. I think partly is the new LED lights which aren't hot to the touch has preserved it.

I'm glad you're back home again so we get to see each other. Chambers walk Saturday, right?

OOps, the guys just got home, Todd and Brian, so i'll sign off.

  3. yes! well I didnt want to overwhelm the blog with a million photos.

well of course i'm coming over to help, the tradition is supposed to be put up and take down watch the crappy movie and chinese food, might need to bend the rules on chinese food, although i dont want to, maybe ill save all my points for it.

yes chambers saturday! and really, if you call me up on any random day, i'll most likely go if you ask. im going to try to start going on my own with oliver

im excited to be home so i can cook again, and try out all these new recipes. i think i might get a food scale ill see how much they are

  4. Congratulations, Kylee! And good luck with WW. I'm a lifetime member, and go faithfully for my monthly weigh-ins. It keeps me honest. I have all the info on the new points plus, and need to read up, because I have the holiday creep going on. Melanie and I just went shopping for healthy foods, and we came home and threw all of the leftover Chrsitmas cookies, candy, cream puffs, etc., etc., in the trash. It felt good.

I got a new camera, too. A Nikon D90. I haven't done much with it. It's kind of intimidating. But I'm taking a class next Wednesday at the camera store where I bought it. You're lucky to have your Uncle Brian to tutor you!

Good luck with your job hunting!!

PS - let me know if you want a reference. sometimes it looks good to have an HR director as a reference.

  5. oh thats awesome! im very excited about it, its a good motivator especially when you eat foods you love that are 0-1 points, you feel like youre cheating, but you're not.

secretly, my biggest satisifcation is when my mom tries to tell me "you cant have this" (ie: chocolate trufffles) and then i find out they are only 1 pt and i can have them, mom is more of a eat healthy and dont indulge and thats why i love ww (plus the truffles are just little bite size and they are dark chocolate)

yeah i love my camera, i dont know a ton about mine either, i dont know anything about iso and all that so were gonna start doing photo shoots to learn and he said "yeah just let me know what you wanna learn" and i said "i have no idea what i dont know, so i have no idea what i need to know" lol

thank you! i sent off 3 resumes/cover letters/sample work today (it is time consuming because of writing a cover letter that caters to each company specifically) and i applied for one that im pretty sure is a TV show!! that would be awesome, ill write more about that later

that would be great to have you as reference! i need to build my reference sheet because its seperate from my resume and because of that, it needs more than the standard 3 references

jojo, do you think irene and toni would be my reference from when I worked in your office? im going to try to do that tomorrow if its not busy at my internship

  6. Barbara, that is so cool of you!

Kylee, i think Irene would TOTALLY be a reference. She would be a better one than Toni since she knew more of what you did hands on and is still working in our office and Toni is retired.

Until it gets lighter out we won't be able to do any weekday walks because it would be pitch black at Chambers. But it would be cool if we could work it out where we later get to do two days a week there.

Tell your mom i'll be talking to her about the Thursday night running club!

PS are you sure you don't want to bowl this year???

    ReplyDelete
  7. okay awesome! will you send me her email and i'll email her and offically ask her??

yeah, i gotta talk to brian because when we do our photo shoots we can make them semi athletic as well! this is why i dont think i need a gym while im living here. its very bittersweet i love seattle way more because of location and friends but i love being at home with friends and chambers LOL maybe I should move half way between seattle and tacoma

does brian really need one extra person to bowl, if so, then MAYBE I will, i could drink now that might make it more fun and if i was with a funner group, it is so long though, what nights is it?
